In this short time-lapse video we show the transformation process using EkoFlo Permeable Pavement Binder and 3/8" pebbles to create a beautiful and functional tree well ground cover.
The project is located at Riverview Golf & Country Club in Redding, CA. The tree is centered in a knockout planter encased by concrete golf cart paths. It serves as a shade tree and marker for the nearby snack shack.
The tree well has long been problematic from a maintenance point of view due to prominent weed growth and it serves as a debris trap when the wind blows through. The goal was to install a permanent surface ground cover that won't blow out or erode while still allowing water transfer to the tree.
The gnarled surface roots of the tree make this a truly one-of-a-kind project and topic of conversation for golfers stopping in for lunch.
